Today we got a sleep in till 8am didn’t help me much I still wanted more, had a slightly sore head from the wodka but soldiered on. Today was a short drive day. On our way to St Johann we stopped in at a place called Innsbruck where we had lunch and could do some shopping/sight seeing. Innsbruck is famous for its Olympic ski jump, you know the kind when the guys go straight down and then fly off the end to see who could go the furthest.
The little town was awesome it felt just like a little ski village. There were Christmas market
stalls set up and everything was really nice. Kieran and I did some tourist shopping we had to buy some things to say we were in Austria as the place we are staying doesn’t have much open this time of the year. As we did our shopping I left Kieran to have a look as more souvenir shops as I had had enough of them.As I walked outside I noticed an interesting shop across the road, there were no people in there shopping. The shop had all these glass vat style things hanging on
the wall filled with different coloured liquid. I thought I would go check it out. When I walked in the lady stated talking to me in Austrian, she saw the blank look and then spoke in English and asked if I wanted to try some, it was then that I realised I was in a snapps shop (heaven some people call it). How could I pass up trying some? She asked me if I wanted a cream based or not I said no, then asked if I wanted sweet and something else I said sweet and then got to choose a fruit one I went for apple. Ohhh man it was good. I had to have another one of a different kind but thought I will still try the fruit so I had peach. Kieran then cam in and tried some as well. It was all so good I had to buy a bottle. I didn’t get a big one just a 200ml in a nice bottle was enough. If I go back through there later I will buy heaps from that shop.After our shopping trip we went back to the bus and were on our way to St Johann it was only a 1 hr drive to get there. The whole time we were having sing alongs on the bus it was a great time. When we arrived in St Johann (pronounced yohann) Kieran and I had our own room. We were staying with the 6 boys and the 5 girls above Bunnies’ pub (the pub was closed this time of year) all the others were staying at a place called Annaleis’. Our rooms were heaps better and we were the party house which was good.
After we settled in it was time to go to a pub for dinner and do our secret Santa giving. We all had to wear something green or red to get in the Christmas spirit. Dinner was excellent we had as much as you could eat ribs ohh how I love ribs. I had heaps I think all up I had around 10 
pieces here is the carcass pile of my meal. After everyone had finished dinner it was time for the present giving. Jaz, Mav and Gav all dressed up as Santa and read out the sayings that were on the presents. We were not allowed to write the name but instead find out info about the person we had and then write that on the card and everyone had to guess who it was for. Some of the things people write were really creative. My person I didn’t know much 
about so I sucked at it. Kieran got a candle holder. Me I got a cat mask from Venice and a doll (cheap Barbie). Now you remember the cat mask meant you were gay yeah nice one Lloydy good joke. Did you miss I was there with my girlfriend… After dinner the boys went back tot heir room to have more drinks there as we had bought another whole lot at the shops no point buying more at a pub. I left Kieran to party with the girls at the bar. We pretty much had everyone in the boy’s room having a party. I went on a mission after a bit to find out where Kieran had gotten too as two of the four girls came back. I finally found her at another pub with a few of people from tour. I got into the bar and told her I was going to bed. The bar was closing so we all walked back together and ended up in bed at 3am.
While Glen and the others were back partying in the rooms Sam, Amanda and I had left 
Tarshi and Teagan at the bar as they were chatting with some boys…. On our walk back to where we were staying (Don’t worry Nan it’s a very safe small town with no hoodlums…we were the hoodlums) Paul this guy that managers Bunnies and organizes accommodation and extras activities for Top Deck was also walking back with a couple of girls who live in the town. Paul was slightly intoxicated and told us girls to come back to this other bar right next to where we were staying. As we walked there we went past the place where we were staying and Lloydy was out on the balcony so we told him to come with us, and he ran down stairs 
and met us. Paul took us to the bar which had about 10 people in it. Us four sat at the bar and Paul ordered a whole bottle of tequila for every one and so for the next few hours….who knows how long we sat and chatted we did constant rounds of lick, sip, sucks until the tequila was gone….. Surprisingly the next day all four of us felt great. Thanx Paul!
