European Getaway Day 20 (5-12-2006)

Amsterdam to London (The Netherlands to England)

The final day started well with me waking up at 7:30 somehow I had turned off my alarm and went back to bed. When I did wake up Yo said we have enough time and that we are leaving at 8:30. I wasn’t sure about this so I packed my bag as quick as I could and had a quick spew. Then Jaz came around knocking on everyone’s door saying we had 5 mins to be out. Heaps of people had slept in. I packed my bag made sure I didn’t leave anything and left. I wasn’t feeling the best. Carrying my bag to the bus which was a hike didn’t help me any either. I think after last night everyone new why this place was called Amster-damage.

We all made it to the bus worse for ware but we were all alive. We sat down the back but I couldn’t handle being near SJ anymore and had to sit up the front, I sat next to Ashoor who was sleeping as well so I just crashed out after tossing up in my head whether to be sick again or not. I held out and had a good nap. After my sleep I felt great I was reviatlised. It was the one time on the whole trip that I fell asleep for ages more than anyone so of course people took photos of me. I slept most of the way into Belgium until we stopped for lunch at Brugge (Belgium).

We had 2 hrs free to explore Brugge and get some lunch. I had a biky burger ( I don’t even know what it was) but it filled the void of no lunch and made me feel better. After that we walked around the town and bought souvenirs again. We had to get some chocolates, we bought a massive 60 pack ( the chocolates were heaps good I ate most of them) before hopping back on the bus we all made a toilet break and I had to pay for my first toilet use dammit there was nothing free around. You have to pay for 99% of the public toilets in Europe, even in McDonalds. It can range from 5Euro cents to 1 whole Euro.

As the weather was heaps crap we all decided to watch Pulp Fiction which Daniel bought at one of the truck stops. We watched most of it to Calais. When we made it past customs and were allowed back into England, they only asked me how long I will be staying and I told them 2 years. Kieran got asked a thousand questions about if she was working ect. Ashoor got asked if he was a terrorist or had links to terrorist groups poor fella. We soon found out that our ferry was 2 hrs later due to the bad weather. It didn’t bother us much that allowed us to finish Pulp Fiction. We got driven onto the ferry when it did arrive as the passenger bridge could not be used due to the weather.

We said our good byes to Gav and Mav and Judy (the bus) and headed into the ferry. On the ferry we went to get some food as we didn’t know when we would be eating next. We sat in the bar and drank some beers with our food. Those who couldn’t handle the sea slept on the floor (like Kieran) or just closed their eyes in the lounge. We all swapped emails in case there was a problem with the email list Jaz sent out that and some of us wanted other phone numbers to meet back up in London with. We sat around and had a few beers and talked for most of the trip back.

We finally docked and made it in normal time, the sea was not that rough. Kieran will say different that they were very rough. When we made it to port we all gathered our stuff and headed out to the passenger plank where we almost blew off the side due to the really strong winds it was crazy. When we got down the bottom there was no bus waiting for us. We had to wait another 30 mins in the freezing cold crazy wind waiting for the bus. When the bus finally came we all chucked our bags in and hoped on. Kieran asked the driver if he was going past our place (because on our first day they went past our street) and could he stop and drop us off, he was not going that way so he couldn’t. We slept most of the way back into London. I was on the lookout to see if we were going near Kennington at all so we didn’t have to catch 2 trains back and then walk with all our crap.

The bus got to the hostel, everyone said their goodbyes. Kieran asked the driver if he could drop us near Kennington station as he was going back to Elephant & Castle (weird name for a suburb hey) which is close to it. He agreed so we had to leave with him. We chucked our bags in the bus and left. I spoke to the bus driver the whole way back. He was nice to give us the lift so I had to be nice and chat to him, he was alright to talk to but at some points I had to work out what the hell he was saying with his Scottish accent.

We finally made it to Marisa and Riches place around 11pm it had been a long day of travel and all we wanted was some sleep.

We had made some great friends, been to some wonderful places and had some awesome times. It was sad to see our tour over, now back to reality and life in London.

European Getaway Day 19 (4-12-2006)

Day in Amsterdam

Went down to breky at 9 yumm sambos again, Kieran didn’t even bother with this she was totally fed up with sandwhiches and non cereal food as breakfast. We met up with the group in the foyer, today we were going on a cycle tour of the damage (Amsterdam’s nickname for obvious reasons). We walked to ‘Mikes cycles’ just a 3 min walk from where we were staying. The group broke up into 2 groups I was at the back of our group I was the back man who had to look after the slow people back there no one was allowed behind me. Our leader was an American guy named Sean, he told us all about the history and told us some cool stuff as we were cycling around. The bikes we rode were like new bikes but old style, hard to describe. Some of the bikes had names I was on Conan the destroyer, Kieran had Charlie you didn’t have to wear helmets yay! Amsterdam is a really pretty city with cobble stone roads and lots of canals. Its really cool how everyone rides bikes and they have a real good way of looking at things, for example if you don’t have lights on your bike instead of fining you the police give you a voucher to go to a special shop and get cheap lights, instead of fining a homeless man for annoying people while sitting on a park bench they just took away the park bench; pretty cool.

After the bike ride Kieran and I went to the post office and posted some things home, as we found out it was cheaper to do it here than back in London which I can imagine would be true. Hopefully these items will be arriving home soon. After our postage experience we walked up to Anne franks house. It was a nice walk along the canal and streets trying to dodge the bikes and cars. Anne’s house was good to see just for the history. I have never read the book but after seeing the house I now know it had a lot of history in it. When we finished Anne’s house we met up with the others they were going somewhere else, we left with Sam and went to have some lunch and do some shopping.

We had heard that Amsterdam was good for clothes; I was looking for a jacket in particular. I went shopping by myself I couldn’t handle looking at all the girly shops with Kieran and Sam, need some time to myself. I ended up not finding a jacket or anything I liked well nothing that jumped out at me and I didn’t want to spend that much on the clothes.(now after seeing the prices of London jackets I should have bought some there) I made my way back to the hostel from my shopping expedition and got ready for dinner we were having Thai, this was to be our last night on tour. Kieran and I splurged and bought a bottle of wine to have with dinner it was a South African white. It was nice but for 20 euros it would want to be.

After dinner we all went down to our cruise around the canals, the cruise was a 90 min ride in an enclosed boat with not that much head room as it had to pass under the bridges I spent my time ducking. For that 90 min cruise it was all you could drink. Let me tell you, you can fit in a lot of drinks in 90 mins. It was a good cruise although it was raining and we couldn’t see out the windows that didn’t matter much we were partying. We went back to the hostel after the cruise to have some drinks there where they opened the nightclub for us. It was a good night spent the rest of it partying and dancing, and sending some emails home as they had free internet there (maybe not the brightest ideas after drinks). We all got very happy and were dancing around, the club had a pole on the dance floor which some of the ladies used to show of their skills.

As it was the last night we had to party big. I partied as big as I could go and didn’t want to be bad on the bus the next day so I left when I was happy and wanted to go to bed. I left the club with Yo and went back to our room where we found David and the some of the girls having a joint in our room without the window open. So now with our room full of pot stink I opened the window and headed off to bed after we kicked the smokers out dammit. Before heading to sleep I set my alarm for the next morning. I ended up in bed at 2 am.

I on the other hand have know idea what time I went to bed. After the cruise me, Sam, Amanda and Vanessa all went to a café. Through some miscommunication we had lost Teagan and Tarshi. So we went to this ‘café’ in Amsterdam and had a few muffins etc. We were chatting and having fun and at one point we turned around and Vanessa was gone we looked for her everywhere and was a bit worried as she is younger then all of us, but we came to the conclusion that she was an adult and could look after herself so continued to have fun. We headed back to the hostel and joined everyone in the bar/club where we dances, drank and sang. We found Vanessa who really didn’t have an explanation for her disappearance (I wonder why?) but at least she was o.k. me and Sam lost track of time everyone was either pissed, stoned or both. When me and Sam headed for bed we found Tarshi and Teagan in their beds, Hannah was there too. There was clothes and crap all over the floor (typical girls room). Sam and I were trying to find our pyjamas and stuff Sam told me something one of the girls had said to one of the boys (to complicated to explain) and that was it we were laughing and laughing I couldn’t stand up and Sam was almost on the floor too. Then Tarshi started laughing at us it was sooo funny. Teagan eventually woke up and then we talked and talked. It was a funny night!

European Getaway Day 18 (3-12-2006)

Rhine Valley to Amsterdam (Germany to the Netherlands)

Today we woke at 7:30 packed out bags dragged them to the foyer and had breakfast again it was ham and cheese sandwich but this time there was scrambled egg, made a nice sandwhich this time. We then lugged our bags back up to the bus, always nice carrying 25kgs on a full stomach. On our way to Amsterdam we stopped at a farm where the guy made cheese and clogs he was a nutter, but made nice cheese. We had lunch at the farm but it was raining so we had to quickly make our lunch and then run on the bus to eat it in the dry.

It rained all the way into Amsterdam. When we got there, there was no where for the bus to stop so we all just had to jump off and throw the bags off the bus onto the footpath as quick as we could as the bus was stopping traffic. I made Kieran get our bags so no one took them. We had to take everything off the bus as we wouldn’t see it for the next few days till we were leaving and Kieran and I had stuff we had to send home so we had to take it all off. We chucked on our bags in the rain and lugged them to the hotel/hostel we were staying. Got our room keys I was with David and Yo. Kieran was with the girls in a room.

Once we dumped our clothes we headed straight down to wash them as we needed some clothes. We had to rush as we had to go on a Heineken tour that we had already paid for. There wasn’t enough time for the clothes to finish. We told Jaz we would be late and we would meet her at the factory and have to sprint there. She said that she would come back and put the washing in the dryers for us. I was hesitant to leave my clothes in a Laundromat as I didn’t want them to be stolen. We left the clothes going and went to the Heineken tour.

It wasn’t a tour as such but rather an experience which is what they call it. It was really good; you learn about the company and then go on some rides like the life of a beer bottle and being a horse and cart driver. They had other interactive things you could do such as being a DJ and send home videos to people back home, some of you might have got one. We also got free drinks with the price of the ticket you got 3 tokens for beer and one for a gift. I ended up having something like 8-9 beers as people didn’t like beer and only wanted one drink, you could also get a Pepsi if you didn’t want beer. I had a sculling comp with Yo, of course I won and he wanted to give me his other free beer as he doesn’t drink beer (he sculled Pepsi). It was a good time there until the bar closed and we had to scull our drinks to leave as they kicked us out. Our free gift was a bottle opener, really cool.

Kieran left with the girls earlier as they weren’t drinking the beer and she said she was going to get the washing so I stayed around to have my beers. It wasn’t until I left and was back at the hostel that I noticed she wasn’t there. She then rang me and it was 7pm and she was at another bar and we didn’t have our washing. I sprinted down to the laundry and picked up our washing, we were lucky it was still there.

I went back to the hotel and had dinner with Yo, I thought we were leaving for the sex show at 7:30 so we went down to the food area in the Hostel and had a burger. I then found out we were leaving at 8 which allowed me to relax. Kieran came back at 7:30 and was angry at me for eating dinner but I had no idea when they were coming back.

I left the Heineken place with Sam, Teagan, Tarshi and Hanna (the Eleanor look alike). I thought we were going back to the hotel but soon found out that Hanna wanted us to find this bar that a friend from her hometown in N.Z worked at. So we were walking around Amsterdam trying to find this place and also not get hit by cars (they are a bit crazy). We eventually found it and it was a small bar under a hostel it was a cozy little place. We got some discounted drinks and had a few shots; Hannah’s friend was a nice guy. Eventually we had to leave; we could have stayed there all night but we new we had to get back to the tour. When we left it was raining and we were all a little tipsy. We kinda ran back in small bouts and Tarshi slipped on the gutter and hurt her ankle but at the time she just laughed and kept running it wasn’t till later that her ankle really started to hurt. When we got to the hostel we didn’t have much time to get ready and 5 girls in one small room with a bathroom all trying to get ready at once can be crazy, when we left that room there was crap everywhere!

We all met in the foyer at 8 and walked to our sex show. I was going to sit in the front row but then opted for the back. The beginning was good to see what the girls could do was interesting. There were no males strippers (the girls were disappointed). Some of the things the chicks did was: one girl played with a candle and put in certain places and dripped wax on herself. The next girl used a ribbon and made Ashoor pull it out and it just kept on coming the never ending vagina sting. Ashoor being the 18yr was amazed hehe. The next was the lady who took Lloydy on stage took of his shirt and then wrote on his chest with a texta put in a place you don’t normally put a texta. In a foreign country she wrote in good English ‘superman’. (see pic)

Next was the banana lady she made most of the front row get up and eat a banana out of her but each person could only take a small bit making it closer and closer to her. After this show came the sex show, which was not anything to really write home about (even though I am) the guy was a feral uncle fester looking guy a fatty with a bald head. Couldn’t quite get it up and the chick looked like she would be more excited playing pinball than being there. So it wasn’t anything that special at all. Afterwards all the girls were talking about how feral the guy was and how shit it was. The best thing about it was we all got a free drink on entry.

We all left the club went for a walk around the red light district where all the prostitutes stand in the windows and then walked for ages looking for a pub where we lost a lot of people on the walk and the night ended shit, I think that was because so many people were up for a big one that always turns out crap when u r too excited. I couldn’t be arsed so I went back to the hostel and went to bed. Kieran stayed out, but not for very much longer.

European Getaway Day 17 (2-12-2006)

Prague to Rhine Valley (Czech Republic to Germany)

First we had an early wake up was up at 7 had ham and spaghetti for breaky. I slept for a bit on this trip. We had our first stop still in the Czech where we could use up our loose coins. Kieran and I decided to get some Maccas but they took way to long to get us our food and I had to do the chicken dance as punishment for holding up the bus.

This time at the border crossing Jaz had to collect the passports and take them into the office. We made it into Germany wooohooo. As it was going to be a longish drive Jaz bought a DVD somewhere and we ended up watching “The gangs of New York” for the trip into Germany. After the movie had finished we realised that there was a Contiki bus just behind us. Our coach (Judy) has a window at the back Daniel, Aaron and Ashoor decided to moon them. They wrote the word Top Deck across their arses (I told them to make the o from one of their a holes for a better affect.) They opted not to do this... As we mooned them the driver and tour leader of Contiki were cacking themselves. It was now their turn to retaliate. They sped up and drove past us. Their guys were mooning us back there were I think 4 guys asses against the window, the girls just kept talking about the one guy who had a crazy hairy arse. Right at the back of the Contiki bus a chick was flashing us her boobs, that was a nice step up to the challenge (sorry boys no photos). At that point everyone wanted to pass them again so we could claim revenge but we pulled in for a service stop and lunch.

On the way through the Rhine Valley we stopped at a cook coo clock shop and a stine shop. Ohh man the stine shop was awesome. I would have bought the whole shop if I could. I ended up getting a 1 liter clay stine, I had to get a souvenir from Germany. When I come back boys that will be my new LAN glass I will retire the LOTR mug for a while. While in the little town we caught back up with the Contiki tour bus. As Jaz had some left over wax strips from Lloyd’s chest Tarshi took them and gave them to one of the people from the tour and said that they were for the guy with the hairy arse and that he really needed them. Ohhh yeah sweet revenge suck that Contiki hairy arse club.

We made it to the castle but it was dark we were only staying there the one night which was sad. Old castles were not made so busses could drive into them. So we were stopped near the castle and then had to walk for about 500 meters which felt like over a km lugging our packs, it was crazy. Kieran and I came in last we were sharing in a 4 room with the Saffas we decided to change this and I was once again put with the girls (the Saffas are boring and we didn’t want to stay with them) however when we were first told about Germany we were told that we would all be in the same room, the guys that is. We were looking forward to all the boys in one room we were going to force the Saffa Dwayne and make him get drunk with us because he is totally whipped by his girlfriend. However the Saffas complained and got their own way and now a room to themselves. Again I was in a room with all girls, most boys would love this but I need some male bonding.

When we walked into our room it smelt like a dead ass really moldy and smelt bad. We ran down the corridor to see if there were spare rooms. There was a massive room with enough beds for all the guys to stay in. We ended up putting Kieran and the girls in the boys room and then all the boys moved to the big room. Just what I wanted it was good. We went down to dinner and had some rissoles in gravy which was really yumm. We then went back to the room to have some drinks. The castle did not allow alcohol in the rooms so we had to hide it to get it in an out of the place. We had a few drinks whiles playing Uno where the looser would have to have a shot of tequila. It ended up just being everyone shooting tequila. Was a good night, I crashed out around 2 am.

The girls also had an awesome night. In Austria we had bought a 5litre bottle of what we assumed to be wine, the label was in another language and we had been lugging it around so we decided it was a good time to get rid of it, so our room with 3 bunks in it slowly became the headquarters for most of the girls. It was a typical girl room with lots of bitching and gossip. Thankfully it was wine and it wasn’t too bad either!
Kieran.

European Getaway Day 16 (1-12-2006)

Day in Prague

Today we had to get up early we got up at 8am for breakfast, ahhh a good 3 hrs sleep lovely. While eating breakfast some people had only just got home, they were still buzzing/drunk for that night. It was a good breaky of pancakes. We then got ready and headed into town, which we had to do on our own.

I was with the girls again, we decide to go and see the castle. We went via the astronomical clock which was about to change. There was a massive crowd, I was recording the whole thing and I don’t think anything happened it was such a let down.

We first crossed the bridge which took almost over an hour due to all the stops and photos that had to be taken from the bridge plus all of the little craft stalls which were all along the bridge. We finally made it to the other side and then made our way up to the castle up these crazy steep hills. While we were crossing the bridge we met up with the boys and a few others who were all going up there as well so we went together. On the way up we left Tarshi at a pub she wasn’t feeling the best. We made our steep assent to the castle. Once we got up there is was amazing, excellent views over the whole city. We walked around in there for a while saw a changing of the guards, there was also yet another church that we walked around in.

We then made our way back down to meet up with Tarshi and get lunch. Only problem was we were going back another way, as it was a different way it meant we had to walk back up the big hill to meet up with Tarshi… dammit. We made it back up there and decided to eat in the pub where she was ( she had just finished her own lunch) I ended up getting that goulash and a few beers, the other boys just had one after their hard night, always need a hair of the dog drink. The goulash wasn’t as good as the one I had in Munich. When the bill came it was a lot less than we thought it should be, we were undercharged woot! We paid and quickly left before they realised their mistake. We were undercharged but you have to be happy with that.

Now that we had finished lunch the 2 groups broke up and we went our own ways, I left with the girls, Yo and David, we were going to check out the Jewish Ghetto. When we arrived there after searching for a bit it was closed. Well not closed but they won’t let anyone in after 4 and it was 4:15. It didn’t say that on our information dammit, it said they closed at 6 ‘not happy Jan’! We headed back to the city centre for some souvenir shopping and a bit more shopping. Kieran, Sam and I went to the torture museum. In there they had all these torture devices used through out the ages and how they worked and why they were used. I have one question WHY? Why did we (humans have to do that, was it necessary?).

After our eye opener at human behavior we went shopping where I left Kieran and Sam to shop themselves stupid I was going home. I met up with David and Megan and caught the train then the tram. While eating dinner the girls came back of course with shopping bags in hand. After dinner I went for a walk with Daniel he wanted to make a phone call and we wanted a few beers to finish a quiet one off. We all had an early night I think we were in bed by 10pm.

European Getaway Day 15 (30-11-2006)

St Johann to Prague (Austria to Czech Republic)

To day we started out early, somehow it was decided that as we were crossing the boarder we should also do cross dressing. So us guys got up early and had to raid the chick’s bags that were staying at Bunnies pub. For some reason the cross dressing didn’t really work both ways and ended up with just the guys taking part. I have to say we all look really stunning. In the photo in order of left to right you have. Ashoor – he definitely has the legs for it, Aaron – with the mini skirt and nice earrings, Me – I was the conservative woman, Yo – the best he could manage but was later to get a face full of makeup, Lloydy – the slutty one (a Pauline Hansen look alike?) with a new waxed chest he did well, and then Daniel – Also a disco diva. Can I just point out that few of the guys went to the level of wearing a bra to hold up their fake boobs. I am proud to say I was not one of them.

At the boarder we got stopped as we were leaving the EU. As we got stopped we had to get checked as well. They had to go through the bags underneath and a guy with a massive head came on the bus. We all had to hold our passports up to our face to show that we were who was on our passport. The guy with the massive head also had a gun in his holster and didn’t look like a guy who would take any shit. A good thing we were all wearing drag to best match our passports I think. They had a problem with the girl from China, Lee he said that she should have a schlenge visa but when she checked with the embassy they said she didn’t, we were stuck there for about 30 mins. Other wise none of us could go over the boarder. Luckily Jaz spoke to them and then it was all sorted out and we could enter.

Interesting fact: between Austria and the Czech republic there is a ‘no mans land’ area all it has on it is a brothel hotel.

In the check republic a ‘night club’ is a brothel so if you go watch what you ask to go to. As prostitution is legal we played ‘spot the pro on the street’ the whole way to Prague. It was a good game but I swear some of them could have just been normal women walking home. On the way into Prague we stopped at a placed called Chesky Krumlov for a break and some lunch. All the guys took this chance to get changed back into our normal boys clothes, that and its was freezing in a dress.

Ok for all of you who have seen Hostel (the movie) check out this pic. This is how Chesky Krumlov looks and it is just like what you have to walk through to get to Bratislava. All of us on the tour that had seen this movie were freaking when we first walked in there as it was just like the movie. (for those that don’t know the movie is about people who go to a hostel and then are taken away and tortured/killed by people who pay to kill them). With this all put aside in our minds it was a very nice little town would have been good to see a bit more of it. But it was very quiet and we all kinda felt a bit creeped out thanks to Hollywood.

After lunch we made our way to Prague, when we arrived Jaz was not sure exactly where we were staying, it was out of two places. We first pulled up to a campsite which looked so scary. It was like in the middle of nowhere and was dark and deselect. We were lucky it turned out to not be this campsite as it was closed hence the reason it was so dark and no one around. We ended up going to a hostel which was just around the corner. This place was less scary, the lights were on and it looked like a proper building.

We unloaded the bus, set up the campsite and then went to get our room keys. As it was 4 people in a room Kieran and I stayed with Yo and David. For onceI was in a room where there were more guys than girls woohoo. We were given time to get ready as we were going to go to a disco tech (a real night club for dancing) after our walk around town. We got dressed and headed out, to get into town we had to catch a tram (number 26 if you cared) and then we had to get a train. The thing with trains is you really had to count your stops as you can’t understand a word the people are saying. It doesn’t even sound like they are pronouncing the stop.

We got off the train at the centre of town and we were given 45 mins to get some dinner. We walked around for a bit as we wanted to eat in a real restaurant and not have greasy takeaway. As it turns out good food was harder to find than we had thought. I was really looking forward to a goulash. We ended up settling as we ran out of time and just had McDonalds. After dinner we met up with the rest of the group and went for a walk around the town. We saw the main square which had a massive astronomical clock; there was the massive Charles Bridge and Prague castle. I can’t remember what they were called.

Prague is very beautiful and feels a little like you stepped back in time with its narrow cobble stoned streets and small stores everywhere. It has a very Bohemian atmosphere with many artists, concerts, photographers, and craftsmen, I now understand what Bohemian really is… Kieran.

After our walk around we ended up at a bar, bars in Prague are underground because drinking was outlawed and so they went underground literally. In this bar we tried Absinth as it was the real deal not the half stuff that they offer in other places it was still legal here. The best way to drink it is to pour some sugar on a spoon, tip a bit of Absinth on the spoon light it, let the sugar melt a bit, blow it out and then stir it into the shot like crazy. It didn’t taste the best and didn’t really do anything for me didn’t see any fairies or even feel drunk. Kieran found it gross check out this video of her freakin over the shot.

After we had our cheap drinks and shots we headed to another bar as the disco tech didn’t get pumping till later. We ended up at this bar which had go-go dancers ( girls in bikinis with limited moves but nice bodies) the girls were having a good time dancing and drinking. I wasn’t drunk enough to bust out my moves just yet, plus I didn’t feel like dancing. When we had enough of this club it was time to go to the disco tech which is a 5 level nightclub (our version not the brothel) we had to pay 10 Euros to get in and then left our jackets in the cloak room for another 2 Euros. Once in there we found out that there were only 2 out of the 5 levels open as it was so quiet.

The girls danced all night, one of the Melbourne girls Vanessa split her jeans it was funny, a couple of the other girls picked up. None of the boys did, it’s always the way. We ended up leaving earlier than some of the others as we wanted to explore the city the next day. We caught a taxi back to the hostel. The good thing about the taxis is you get to bargain with them on the price you will pay for them to take you somewhere. We ended up paying I think around 8 euros. Some of the guys somehow got home for around 3 euros. We got back to the hostel and were in bed at 4:15 am.

European Getaway Day 14 (29-11-2006)

Day in St Johann

We got to have a sleep in today ended up getting up at 9 and off to breakfast at 9:30 at Annalisa’s where I had a cheese sandwich yumm I love sambos for breaky. I had a walk around the town to see what was around. It was a nice ski town would be great to comeback at ski season and would be an awesome party town. After a shop around I headed back to Bunnies to pick up Kieran and head to Annalisa’s, that’s where the bus was parked. We were all being taken into Munchin (Munich, Germany) for a day out as there was nothing happening in St Johann.

When we arrived in Munchin we had free time to walk around, we went to the town centre where they had stalls and markets. We then went to a church where the devil had stamped his foot and left an imprint in one of the tiles on the floor, which was interesting to see. Munchin wasn’t really what I thought it would be but then I don’t really know what I was expecting to see really.

The main reason we all went to Munchin was to go to a classic German beer hall. We all went to the Hofprahause, it was awesome, always a fan of beer sold by the litre. We got there around about 4pm and stayed there till around 8ish. AS we were there for a while we had to have some dinner. I ended up having pork goulash it was good. Kieran had pork that had some awesome crackling on it, She was very happy! We all ended up having a few stines had to try a few of there beers. Kieran had a shandy in a stein. The guy that was bringing out our food and drinks was crazy he looked a little like Ed Harris so from then on he would be nick named Ed. HE was a crazy happy man always willing to pose for photos.

When we were in there we saw these people all sniffing this stuff off of their hands. When we asked Jaz what it was she told us that it was called ‘snuff’ she then proceeded to buy some and gave it to us all to try it. What you have to do is to pour some on the webbing skin between you thumb and index finger and then snort it up your nose. It really does clear your sinuses; it doesn’t make you happy it is a mixture of tobacco and something else.

While we were in there somehow Lloydy became friends with a crazy German guy who kept sticking his fingers up at him but the V sign. He then wanted a cigarette which Lloydy gave him. We finally got rid of him. After a while he was standing a bit down from us and just kept staring at Lloydy. We thought he was in love with him. He might have had something for guys with red hair… As we ignored him and went back to enjoying ourselves we noticed he was getting angry at the band and then the security guards had to carry him out as he just went mental and was trying to get on stage and knocked over their equipment.

After dinner we all made it back to the bus and then had a good few sing alongs for the ride home. Everyone ran to the toilet as soon as we got back, I guess that’s what happens when you drink a few litres of beer! When we arrived back some how it was decided that Lloydy needed his chest waxed. Kieran went to this viewing I decided I would just crash in bed.
